tag, freya honeyHe was sitting at the bar, still quite a bit tired from yesterday's crazy night, a beer in his right hand, his left resting on the wooden surface next to his cell. Twenty minutes now, that's how late Thea was. He didn't really resent tardiness, he could be quite late himself at times, it was just that he was incredibly bored, however the fine line between still having Thea as a girlfriend, patiently waiting for her and not flirting with others – contrary to being single and not so very bored, flashing his charming eyelashes at hit girls – was still there. Haunting him, or something. He didn't really want to break up with her, she was a great friend, but she had nothing.. exciting about her anymore. She was like a best friend he was casually having sex with as well. He could score that hot blonde at the other side of the bar, he totally could. He wasn't going to, tho, as he was waiting for his very own hot and spicy girl. Whose name, coincidentally, just poped up on his phone screen. He was silent a while after he picked it up, listening to what she had to say, then tying to sound a convincing as possible as he claimed, »No, no, babe, it's totally fine, I get it.« He nodded, as if trying to give himself an acting boost. »Yeah, no, it's fine, really. I actually met a couple of our frat guys before so I'll just hang out with them.« Lies. He didn't meet any of his friends, he didn't meet anyone, he didn't know anyone here, it was still early in the evening and the party wasn't even starting yet, if it was ever going to; it wasn't the weekend, so they'll probably bring in some shitty musicians nobody liked and close up at midnight or so. »No problem. Love you too,« he said before he hung up, staring in front of himself for a while, then crashing gently on the bar with his head, letting out a loud sigh. »Oh, fuck,« he murmured to himself before raising his head again, just to realize that this time he had some company. |

she had that crazy feeling around her legs, while she was walking towards the club, where she spent most of her days out. the school year had only just began, so classes weren't so filled up, considering that lots of people still haven't arrived yet. you'd expect how sad she'd feel because henry wasn't around her, but on the contrary - she felt a bit excited. she knew he'd love her, basically adore her on his knees if he'd saw the biggest smile on her face. it was one of her favorite bands playing this evening. they were totally indie, so nobody really knew them, but they once play in yorkshire, at this club henry and her always used to go, and she found them quite lovely. her spirit was bright, as she stepped into the half-filled room. she looked around. nobody she particularly knew. it was almost as the room was filled with strangers, freshman that just arrived here and are getting to know ‘the wanted ones’ and the ‘bitches’. she wondered if she were someone anyone would imagine, but only the tought of that, made her chuckle. was she really to spent the night alone? nobody didn’t look really interesting, until she saw a blonde boy sitting at the bar all alone. he seemed angry, or maybe disappointed at something, probably a call from his friends – or girlfriend, and all of a sudden his posture showed that he was quite available for anyone, as if someone has cancelled something when he kinda smashed the phone to the table, and looking at the half full bottle of beer. quickly she took the seat next to his, looking for his glance as he suddenly didn’t look at the table anymore. “did I scare you?” she smiled “that wasn’t really my intention. bartender, gin and tonic, and give him what he drinks” she yelled at the charming man behind the alcohol, and looked at him. “mind some company? just came here, and I can’t see anyone familiar, is everyone at their dorms? are we missing a huge sorority party or something?” these weren’t usually questions she would have started off a conversation she would know – or at least the other person would know her, but it was usually easier to make small talk with things like this, rather than ‘do you really think capitalism was a good idea?’ or ‘do you even know what they are doing to those woman in china?’ and then explaining some bizzare situation in a firm her group has an eye on. and also, to be honest, he didn’t really look like a guy that would talk to her about that. “I think you should really start drinking a little quicker, or you won’t catch up anymore,” pointing at the new bottle of beer in front of him, as the bartender bought the drink. “also bring three tequilas, you’re drinking with us,” drunk nights are usually good nights. marx will wait till tomorrow.
for dylan, dear

tag, freya honeyShe had a tad of asian around the eyes, her hair looked really smooth and she was smiling widely. »Uhm.. no, I just–« he wanted to reply, but she jumped in, talking on. She seemed like such a sweet little babbling thing and he had absolutely no choice but to keep that grin on his face longer. In a microsecond he could completely forget about Thea and the fact that she wasn't coming, he hardly even remembered what her excuse was, anyway. He had better company now, company in the form of a very skinny dark-haired babe with a british accent. Felt like home. »Oh, alright,« he murmured to himself as she took the liberty of getting him another beer and as she turned to him, he playfully raised his eyebrows. So what was that all about? »No, not at all, please..« He made that gesture with his hand, the one showing he was completely open to company, and he smiled at her again. Pretty girl with a whole lot of communication skills. That was definately something he could work with, he was quite the talker himself. »Well, I'm pretty sure we're not missing out on anything spectacular. The real parties won't start till next week.« He knew as much as he was one of the people planning it. »Besides, would you really want to be at a big sorority party when there's this dump as an alternative?« He leaned onto the bar with the left side of his body, now facing her entirely, his eyebrows raised in quite a charming manner as if trying to playfully provoke her. »You're quite the little know-it-all, aren't you? What's your name?« he demanded as he raised the bottle up to his lips, making a few deep sips, finally emptying it and putting it back to the wooden surface of the bar. »Is he, now?« he tried to look rather offended by the fact that he wasn't the only one she was planning on getting drunk tonight. »And here I was, thinking I was special.« A small frown on his face, just to further deepen the effect of disappointment he was trying to achieve. |

he seemed perfect for her mid-week start-off drinking, and she has seen his face around the campus since the first year – so she guessed, either he was the same age as her, or he was a year older. “oh, I see you’re british,” now that was odd. it reminded her fairly on home, where henry was, where her friends were, planning the next conference on awareness of children working in companies like nike or such, but all that thinking just made her wanting to be there and not here, so she quickly stared at the unknown person in front of her. “I didn’t catch your name, who are you anyway?” she started that basic conversation again – some things you just had to sort out, before having the right of passing out in front of someone, she guessed. “well thank you,” the gin was so refreshing, after not having anything to drink for weeks, because she was spending most of her alone time with henry in the apartment, enjoying their last moments before they saw each other again on Christmas, since he was visiting like every other year. “I don’t keep track, to be honest. if it happens to be in my sorority I join it, or if I happen to pass by and I’m in the mood of ruining the house with my drunk behavior. but generally, no, don’t really participate,” she continued explaining. “and hey, don’t say dump to his place, a really great band is playing here today actually – heard them in Yorkshire, where I live btw,” she attacked him, giving him a slow punch and a look of anger as in ‘you have no idea what you are talking about’. “you’ll see, the club will be crowded as they start to play, I’m telling you – they’re really good. but not yet famous” she finished, looking up the stage as she thought she saw movement. it was too early for the band to start playing yet, plus she wasn’t drunk enough to let herself go on the dancefloor. “no not really, I just really do know a lot of stuff – plus, this is an obvious fact, I’m almost done” she held her glass high, showing him the final sip she had and taking it. “and I’m freya, freya wolf,” there was an awkward silence after this sentence, she looked at him weirdly, and she could sense a feeling growing between the tension of the room, but she chose to ignore it. nothing could will come out of it, so there is no need of thinking of it. “oh but you are special – but with buying bartenders drinks you become their favorite customer, and it’s not hard to add a little extra for that cool customers, which is us,” she added, smiling lightly. “now, let’s drink” as the tequilas hit the table in front of them. “to nights like this” raising her drink, and preparing to let it hit the brain in a few minutes. salt lick – tequila – lemon bite. “great shot you guys, now bring me another gin and tonic, honey,” a charming smile appearing on her face. the bartender almost jumped to the corner with the alcohol. “see, told you. it works on this guys, as they’re used of snobby little students, that usually have shoes that cost more as their monthly rent. you aren’t one of those, are you?” she looked at him – but she didn’t really need an answer. it was drinking night, she could have a drink with a serial killer, and it’d still be okay.

tag, freya honey»As are you, I assume?« he replied with a question himself, nodding softly, to prove her right. »Where from?« He thought he could hear a northern accent somewhere in her words, but he could have just as easily been mistaken, since the very popular music playing in the bar was quite loud. »It's Dylan, Dylan Cunningham,« he introduced himself with a large smile upon his lips; his name and all that came with it was something he was quite proud of. It didn't have a spoiled rich kid tone to it, like most of the surnames of kids here did. Any reputation, good or bad that he had recieved in the past four years of being here was completely his doing. He wouldn't change that for anything in the world; the hard way of becoming someone was always better, always. He listened carefully to what she had to say and shrugged; that wasn't how he felt towards sorority and fraternity parties, he rather enjoyed them, actually, and he loved to plan them himself. He was a party animal by nature, he loved that he was a huge part of something here and he wouldn't miss a party if his life depended on it. She, on the other hand, was obviously a different breed. The kind that prefered indie gigs to big events with lots of cheap booze. »Really?« His eyebrows raised, tho he was not nearly surprised to hear something like what she just said. He picked up on people really fast, he was quite observant and he was pretty sure he didn't fail with this pretty lady. »Yes, well, that's the problem with good bands,« he nodded immediately. He was into music a lot, himself, but he knew the fine line between good, but unpopular and not so good, but highly popular things. And if a band was lucky, they could be both. Like he was, a super cool guy who also gained a lot on his popularity. Ha. »It's nice to meet you, Freya, Freya Wolf,« he repeated her name in a playful tone. »Woah, pretty and smart,« he mumbled as she told him her theory of getting bartenders to like you. It was a good plan, not one he could usually execute, tho, since he spent most of his money on getting himself drunk and there usually wasn't a lot of it left by the time he was done. »To nights like this,« he nodded, following the not so very complicated procedure of drinking tequilla; god, he didn't really like it, but who could say no to such a compelling young lady, offering to buy drinks? »Do I look like I'm one of those?« he sarcastically pointed out, his eyebrows raising dramatically. Of course he wasn't, if he was he wouldn't be here, that much was plain. |
