tag, zoey the flameIt was a party, a person's head was supposed to be spinning. God. Okay, so he might have had a drink or two too much, that last splif probably wasn't a spectacular idea as well, since his walking abilities were rapidly fading and he must have looked like he had a physical disorder. But it's a party. It wasn't like he was the only one, besides, how else was he supposed to celebrate the end of summer? So he was at the edge of the world, feet dangling over, or so it felt when he sat down on the wooden boards, leaning back at his open palms, his eyes closed, face turned upwards, towards the full moon. He felt like he should howl up to it, like wolves did, he was part wolf himself, perhaps. Just a little. Sometimes. Shit. The feeling that his head was going to twirl down his neckline came back and it was about time to get back on his feet. Possibly drink some water; he was totally dehidrated, he could feel it now. He got back on his feet after several attempts to do so that ended – being nothing, then he stretched his body a bit, running his fingers through his hair, pushing the blonde locks back. »Jesus,« he mumbled to himself as he took a few steps and drifted to the side, luckily catching his step before falling into the ocean beneath. Jesus, right. »Hey, lady,« he let out a soft demand as his eyes caught a silhouette at the beginning of the pier, in the direction where he was headed. »Woah, you're a pretty thing,« he said, coming closer, discovering a sweet face to match the stunning body. He took a few additional steps there he was, leaning strongly into her personal space, reaking of alcohol without knowing it and making a complete asshole out of himself. »What's your name? I'm Dylan. I've seen you before, haven't I..?« |

this post is for oh dear dylan i've got no idea how many words is in this post, i'm listening to nothing atm and I KNOW WHAT I SAID. SORRY IT'S SO LONG. ILY OKAY. I LOVE THEM.
she’s wondered why she even came here. people around her were smiling, most of them half drunk, other part of them half high on drugs. oh, if she could only scream right now. at this very moment, she would have rather be bubbled up in bed pitying her whole world and thinking how all the bad things are happening to her at once. she hated it. she wanted to look cheerful for all the sisterhood that relied on her, but deep inside herself, she hated this year and she had an absolute no clue how she’ll get over it.
with a coctail in her right hand, she slowly wandered off, away from the group of people. she wanted to find a place where she could just pity herself to the limits, to that point where it was no point in pitying your own self anymore. “gosh, zoey, you’re such a drama queen,” she mumbled to herself sarcastically rolling her eyes and slowly moving towards the tip of the pier that was standing almost right where the party was going on. music got a little less loud, and she could hear herself sigh without a tiny bit of hesitation.
she stopped, leaned on a wooden pillar and looked at the clear sky before closing her eyes in order to prevent her tears from falling out on her cheeks. she’s never felt like crap before. or well, rather she has never felt like crap in a very long time. the sounds of the music drifted away, as she’s listened to the ocean waves slowly embracing the sand, until something, someone's words hit her back. she turned to he way where the sound was coming from.
in a split of a second, she was back to reality, to the party she did not really want to attend. and for some weird reason, beside her was some guy, who perhaps looked a tiny bit funny right there, where he almost fell into the water. she covered her mouth in amusement, but for only a second. the next one has woken up her own self, causing her to freeze because of how close her was to her. damn. who the hell did he think he was?
without a hesitation, she pushed him away from her, still sensing the smell of the alcohol that was coming out of his breath. what an asshole. “who the hell do you think you are?” she snapped, angry. dylan. his name danced in her mind. wasn’t that dorothea’s new boyfriend? oh, who the hell cared what his name was, the guy in front of her could be president’s oldest son and she would be as angry as she was right now. “well thank you, she rolled her eyes, still looking angry “perhaps. i definitely don’t remember seeing you, though.” |

tag, zoey the flameoh me too they're like super fun! Quite obviously he wasn't his natural charming self, the kind that knew when the game went to far, as it did now, when he simply assumed she wouldn't mind his closeness. A mistake, one of many. She pushed him off, he stumbled, caught his step, but only just. »Hey..« he started off in a chill tone, trying to show her he wasn't a serial rapist or anything remotely close to it, he was just a drunk guy who happened to be great company given the right conditions; this much he could tell, she certainly wasn't drunk and that was probably the reason for the outrage in her eyes. Oops. »Babe, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to, like.. upset you or anything.« He was still smiling, obviously not sorry for what he did at all, he didn't do anything wrong anyway, did he? He just wanted to talk, was that too much to ask? She was a pretty little thing, oh, she was. He'd totally want to have her, he probably could, if he wasn't as drunk as he was and if it wasn't for the very huge possibility of thea finding them and bitching out. Oh, whatever, he probably couldn't get his junk up anyway. »Oh, come on, sweetheart, don't roll your pretty little eyes at me.« This much he could see despite the alcohol. She wasn't exactly trying to hide how displeased she was with the situation, but to be completely fair, he didn't try to hide how fun this all was for him, either. »So are you gonna tell me what your name is? Or should I guess?« Nah, he knew her, he definately saw her before. The campus wasn't exactly the largest thing, so it wasn't impossible at all, he just felt like this pretty little thing was sort of special. Like she was somebody's someone. What fucking ever, he could push away these thoughts in a heartbeat. A pretty girl surely deserved a pretty name to go by; he wanted to know hers. |

“upset me? she raised her left eyebrow, still not believing how much he did not care about what he did a few seconds ago “i’m not upset, i’m angry. there’s a difference. learn it.” she didn’t know what the point of fighting with a drunk person was. but at this moment she could really not deal with him rationally enough to just push it off and walk away. no, it was just too much for her little mind in such a short time. she did not have any patience anymore. “don’t call me like that. i’m not nearly enough of a somebody to you to call me something like that.” she’s wondered, if this idiot in front of her really was her best friends boyfriend. i mean, if he was, then she really did not know what the hell happened to dorothea in past three months to go out with a guy that was flirting so freely with someone like her best friend was.
she sighed in disbelief of how he insisted to know her name. what would it matter, really? he was drunk out of his mind, so he probably wouldn’t remember it next day anyway. she really did not have nerves to deal with somebody like that and their games at the moment. “zoe,” she answered his question. if nothing else, at least he won’t have an excuse of calling her sweetheart, babe, or whatever really was anymore. “are you leaving now? because i really don’t want to be responsible for you ending up in the water in the next couple of minutes. not saying it wouldn’t exactly help you clear your mind, though.” she rolled her eyes again. who was he to tell her what to do and what not, anyway? |

tag, zoey the flame»So I pissed you off just by existing..« This was amusing; he didn't know he had that in him, making people outraged without doing anything at all. Or did he really do something and just failed to realize it since he was too far gone, too drunk to understand? What fucking ever, he certainly wasn't going to lose sleep over a girl, and besides, he didn't exactly attack her, he was just, well, trying to pull off a civilized conversation. It wasn't going all that well, this much he could see. »Alright, alright,« he raised his hands in a protective mood, the grin on his face remaining as he was simply unable to get himself together. It was just such a funny situation, this small brunette babe being all pissy at him for.. something he might or might have not done. What the fuck? »But you're gonna have to tell me your name if you want me to call you.. anything other than babe.« All the girls were babes for him, none of them seemed to mind untill now. God, she was like a nun trying to protect her vagina. The weirdest thing in a long time, to be honest, a sober student at a beach party. He should have picked someone else. That, or get back to Thea, that would probably be a good plan as well. »Zoe,« he nodded in repetition; he'd forget in a few moments, he knew as much, but still he wanted to give her the impression that he's at least trying. »That's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl, you know.« he should have probably known by now that being drunk and hitting on someone sober is the worst idea in the book, but he couldn't really help himself. He needed something new, someone exciting, something to fight for. Thea was great, but it felt as if he knew everything about her; she had nothing thrilling left to offer. »Oh, come on, come on, Zoey,« he shook his head gently. »There's no need for violence. If you're already so defensive when a guy tells you he thinks you're pretty, I can't imagine what you'd do if he tried to kiss you..« Cause, well, maybe he'd be willing to try. |

“you could say that, yes.” she nodded. she had no power left into arguing with him anymore. it wouldn’t bring any good to her either. and he will forget, anyway. which, don’t get me wrong, was a good thing. or maybe a part of her wanted him to remember. she shook her head in her mind, a little confused of what she even wanted. both options were benefiting her, but in all honesty, she probably never ever wanted to see him anymore after this. she’ll remember, that’s what she knew. “not like you’re able to understand.” rolling her eyes again, she crossed her hands, trying to calm down her anger while still glaring at him with her pair of brown eyes.
“don’t try to pretend like you actually care,” she snapped when he tried with his same old flirting technique. did he not get that it is not exactly working on her after what’s he’s done a couple of minutes ago, yet? this was just unbelievably hilarious in a ironical sense. “about my name, that is. you’re just a drunk asshole,” she didn’t want or try to make things sound pretty to him. she had no reason to do so for him. he meant nothing to her.
she’s wished he would just go away from her. she had no power to do it herself and with so many frustrations that she was holding in herself, he was a pretty good boxing bag to use it for all that has bothered her ever since she came to that island. maybe that’s why she stayed at his presence even though she could simply just walk away from it.
“who gave you a right to call me zoey?” she was almost shocked at how quickly he called her by her nickname. everybody in the campus knew her and called her by her nickname. but she strictly used zoe for him because... because he pissed her off. that’s why. she doubted she’d ever want to talk to him. or see him. her whole body froze next minute, just hearing his suggestion and she made a step back, away from him. she inhaled, slowly “if you try to do that, you’ll end up in the water with two giant marks of my hands on both of your cheeks,” she tried to stay calm as much as she could, but inside her her nervousness was wrecking her apart. he really had just crossed the fine line. |

tag, zoey the flameLOLOLOLOLOL perfect pairing is perfect »Yeah, you're right tho, I really don't understand your hatered,« he nodded with a smirk on his lips, god, this was just getting more and more fun by the minute. His head was still spinning, but this time it was as if it was dancing to the rythm of their conversation. She was pissed at him, but there was a sort of passion there, he knew as much although she perhaps didn't get it yet. The kind of passion that could turn into heath in an instant, if she'd let her guard down. Which, obviosuly, she didn't plan on doing anytime soon, but it wasn't like he was in a rush. »Oh, but I do care, I care about all sorts of shit, I mean,« he paused a bit, trying to focus his thoughts so perhaps the next words wouldn't sound like idiotic babbling, »If I didn't care, I wouldn't see how frustrated you really are, would I? Not just with me, I'm just the tip of the iceberg here. You're done with everything, you're not at all pleased with where you are now.« In her life, he meant. He was pretty good at reading people when he was sober, this, now, this was just shooting bullets all over the place, hoping to hit something. But perhaps, with a little bit of luck.. and speaking very generally.. he might get a part of that right. »Don't mind me, I'm just an asshole that doesn't care,« he quickly added before she could say anything, then his eyes left hers and he gazed at the ocean a bit, as if an idea was forming in his head. A crazy one, as always, but that was what he liked about it. »Oh, sorry, it just had a nicer ring to it, don't you think?« He raised his eyebrows, catching her eye again, then taking a few steps back, his concentration fixed on the light blue water surrounding them. »You know what,« he said, reaching for the enf of his shirt and getting rid of it instantly, then throwing his wallet and phone on it and by doing so, completely emptying his pockets. »I guess I'm gonna make this a lot easier for you.« Before she could hit him, he snatched a kiss, pressing it softly onto her cheek, then he threw himself into the hot water, surprisingly quick considering his drunk state. He got his head out of the water, giggling, then getting some of the salty water trachea, which resulted in loud coughing. And then he somehow got the idea it might be fun to pretend he was drowning, so he gasped for air and quickly dived under the surface. |

this post is for oh dear dylan i've got no idea how many words is in this post, i'm listening to nothing atm and damn she's just... going into her own grave. LOL
“again, watch your words. i do not hate you, i am just angry with you. there’s a difference,” she began to think that english wasn’t his first language. but considering his accent she could still hear in his drunk voice, he was somebody from england. that’s where the next question raised up - how could somebody from england be so careless about wording? alcohol must have really gotten into him. what the hell did he drink, though? thirty bottles of beer and few more of various vodka mixures? people were plain stupid nowadays. not like she did not get drunk from time to time - but she always knew where the limits for her were, and she rarely crossed them in order to prevent laughter from her schoolmates the next day she stepped into a classroom.
she’s wished she could hear his blabbing about how much he cares more clearly and even though he got most of why she was so angry at the moment, she was in the no mood to let him be right. she was too stubborn, too angry, and somebody who she just met had no idea what was happening in her life. in was just a mindless guessing, showing how much he doesn’t care. but she did not want to argue. she was tired. her body was tired. her mind was tired. “i won’t, trust me, i won’t.” her voice got a little less aggressive, it almost sounded like a whisper and a plea for him to stop being so smart and go away. was that really such a hard thing to do?
oh right, she was forgetting she had to deal with a drunk asshole. that’s what’s happened.
“it may have it, but who are you to me to call me that?” she sounded like a spoiled child wanting to have everything their own way. and the worst thing she realized that she was doing was actually cooling off. how suprising. she really should’ve just left way earlier. it felt like she was walking into a trap she did not want to walk into. yet, it felt right.
the next minute threw her on the hard ground again. god damn it, what the hell was he thinking again. he already disgraced whole the male population in front of her tonight and now he was actually... stripping? she stood there like a statue, opened a mouth to say something back at him, but didn’t know what. and then his lips touched her cheek and she could feel the blush all over her face. jesus christ. what the hell just happened. “what are you ---” before she could finish, she heard a splash into a water deep enough for her to know he couldn’t get hurt. he really was going over the line.
she hurried at the tip of the pier and looked into now a little irritated water, searching for his face. did she really have to go this far? well, it was him that made her go this far, though. it was his fault. all his doing - not like she would ever blame herself. she found him, relieved for a second, but the hint of a drunk person trying to swim quickly gave her an idea of failure.
next thing she’s done was more of what she felt obligated to do - so she jumped into the water next to him, feeling her clothes and hair getting wet and quickly reached for his hand to pull him back above the water, “you really are an idiot, you know that,” she said, looking a little worried “are you alright?” |

tag, zoey the flameHe was under water for a while, probably not the best idea at his state, and if he wasn't so sure of his own, well, perfection, he probably would have thought this through. He could hit the ground if the water wasn't deep enough, he could have hurt his legs, he could just start drowning for real since his mind and body weren't well connected at the moment. Just as he was prepared to return to surface as he was losing his breath, he could feel a hand reaching for his and he smiled widely, choking on the salty water again. He opened his eyes to find hers, a bit pissed but with a flicker of concern this time. Woah, he did it again, he just won again. »I really am,« he let out a laugh. She was wet, her long hair pressed against her face, her make up a bit fucked, oh, she looked like a siren or something. It was at that point he knew, drunk as he might have been, that this was a girl he was sooner or later going to fall for. What a babe. »I'm totally fine,« he made the mistake of admiting, at the moment not realizing he made a complete fool of her. It was a gag, it was just a gag, she could understand that much, couldn't she? »I just wanted to see how much you really cared for an asshole like me. Seems like you're not a cold-hearted bitch after all, are you?« It took a bit of risk, diving in after him the way she did. Oh, he was going to melt that sweet heart of hers, he knew he was. It was just a matter of time, really. »Thanks for saving my life, Zoey,« he added quickly, raising her hand he was still holding in his up to his lips, pressing a soft kiss on the back of her palm. »I owe you one.« Then he let go of her hand, bitting his bottom lip, intrigued by the situation a lot more than he was a couple of minutes ago. The water might have sobered him up just a bit, his words were a lot more distinct, but with that came a feeling of strong weariness. He could pass out in a second if he wasn't in the position where he needed to move his entire body just so the water didn't suck him in. |

this post is for oh dear dylan i've got no idea how many words is in this post, i'm listening to nothing atm and i dared to make her a little nicer
the worry that she felt slowly faded and on her face, once again, came angry expression that right now, must’ve looked just hilariously stupid. she couldn’t help it though. it was the first time she felt like this.
she knew she shouldn’t have done it. she should have just left him drown or so he was trying to pretend. he might’ve actually learned a lesson from that, but right now she’s just let him do what he wanted to do the most - win. she lost. it was more than just obvious right now. by the way he laughed at her and jokingly kissed the back of her palm - it was all just a part of a game she’s fallen for. gosh, she was never so angry with a guy before.
or maybe it was because she never really interacted with any other guys beside her brother, and she felt nothing less but love for tyler.
with nothing more left to do, she raised her hand out of the water and slapped his face. twice. “now you got what i’ve told you you will,” she said, glaring at him “that’s why i jumped into water in first place,” lies. lies, lies, lies. he knew she was lying, he would be stupid if he didn’t. but she was still little zoey that had to have everything under her control, otherwise she just wasn’t happy.
“and this is for your little prank you dared to pull on me,” a wicked smile flushed on her face, as she quickly raised out of water enough to reach the top of his head and push him into the water with her weight. she rolled her eyes, letting him be and swam back to the tip of the pier to get out of water and sat on the tip of the pier to see his confused look she expected to get soon enough. he wasn’t getting any help from her tonight anymore. really drowning or not drowning. “and to answer your question,” she said “no, i’m not a cold hearted bitch. i’m a wicked siren.” this time she smiled, not knowing the reason why exactly, even though she was pretty sure he could not see it with his eyes covered with water. |

tag, zoey the flameHe didn't expect it at all when her hand got out of the water and reached for his face, just to slap him hard on the cheek. Once. Twice. His facial expression must have been a lot of fun to watch at the moment as he really didn't understand what the hell he did to deserve this. Okay, maybe he did understand in the back of his mind, but this silly little prank didn't at all seem like something dramatic enough for her to reward him with a banging on the head. »No, no it's not,« he shook his head in denial as she so quickly came to reject everything he had obviously made up in his mind; how she really thought that he was quite a charmer and, possibly, how she totally wanted to drool over his torso after he took his shirt off. Yeah, he was making shit up, obviously, but if there was just a hint of truth in those self-enthusiastic thoughts, than he was delighted already. »What, honey, I just–« He tried to make up a quick excuse, but before he could gasp for air, his head was under water again, this time she was the one making it so. He was quite shocked, probably the reason he choked on the water that quickly ran into his open mouth, and in a matter of seconds – she let go of him quickly – he was out in the open again, coughing like someone just wanted to strangle him. She was already quite far away, but he could still hear her through the sounds he was making – he probably sounded like a dying whale. Something peaked his interest. Did she just.. no frigging way! Did she just proclaim herself a siren? How did she.. did he say it out loud before? Shit, he couldn't remember. It was probably about time he got out of the water too, seeing he was far to tired to swim and could probably end up a bloated corpse had he decided to play with fate a little longer. So he swam in her direction, getting out of the water with extremely clumsy moves, finally crashing down to the floor. He should probably just take a nap right here, just to, well, get himself together. That's a good plan. »Are you going to be angry with me forever, Zoey?« he mumbled, his eyes only half-open. He was out of it, he could feel it now. |

this post is for oh dear dylan i've got no idea how many words is in this post, i'm listening to nothing atm and i'll let you finish this, kkay :3?
guessingly, he did not win after all. she must’ve admitted that she expected a shock - but not such a big one. maybe, behind that one drunk guy there was a big ego, so pushed away that he was able to do stupid stuff like he was doing this night. even though, what he’s done he’s done and zoey had sworn to herself she won’t forget it until the last day of her living life. or maybe she’ll take it to afterlife, too, whatever comes after death.
but the spite of the fact he did make her angry, she felt relaxed right now. there was no sign of anger anymore, and for the past hour she was able to forget about anything that pestered her mind with negativity. he truly was something she’s never met before, and even now she couldn’t decide if she liked it or hated it. there were times he made her angry, but seeing how he could make her happy as well, has woken up a feeling for him that she wouldn’t ever develop if she left right at the start.
before this, he was just a drunk asshole. after this, he was a drunk asshole who managed to make a crappy night a little brighter. who knows, maybe there really was a way to survive through those eight months of hell.
when he’s finally reached the pier and got out of the water, she spoke, “hey, dylan.” she started, noticing this was the first time she’s ever spoken his name out loud “i’m not angry. before i was, but like you said, you were just a tip of the iceberg.” she sighed and shook her head a little bit, “but thank you.” she stood up, still soaking wet so that the drops were falling off everywhere on the wood below her “don’t sleep outside. you don’t wanna have a hangover and a cold.” she smiled with a softened smile “a friendly reminder, that’s all.” she looked up to the moon, then back to where the party was - it’s getting to it’s end. “however, i should get going.” she thought out loud, looking at the girls of her sorority heading back to the villa, then looked back at him.
if nothing else, he at least saved one of her crappy nights. |

tag, zoey the flamethis is really short but it's over anyway so He raised his eyebrows a bit, quite too tired to make a grande facial expression, but at the same time smirking just a little. She called him by his name. She did, she called him Dylan. That was.. cute, wasn't it? »Yeah?« he responded when there was no need for it as she continued quickly after. »Yeah, I was your cherry on top,« he added, grinning. She liked him. She totally did. She wasn't going to show it, but he knew as much, he wasn't ignorant to signals such as these. She liked him. Totally. She was completely wet, her clothes pressing onto her body. Shit, she was really good looking, even now when, well, she wasn't really planing it. He should probably marry her, this mysterious siren named Zoe. Or at least ask her out, probably. »Yeah,« he half-nodded, knowing he won't take her advice. It wasn't that cold, he had done it before, nothing was going to happen to him anyway. He'll just close his eyes for a few minutes, take a quick nap to feel a bit better, and then it's off to the frat house for him. »Right, you should just..« He made a gesture with his hand, showing her to leave, as if he didn't care – he did, she knew it. »Zoey,« he caught her attention one last time before she left, as he laid his head to the wooden boards to rest, »You like me.« It wasn't a question, it was a fact. She liked him. - - - fin |
